Love it!
A home for wayward vegetarians! Get a veggie dog dressed up as only Dog Town can, add a delicious homemade soup, and you will experience nirvana. Love this place! Just bring an extra sweater in the cooler months because it is basically an old garage. - Mark , posted 02/22/08

Things that make you go "Woof"
The food here is excellent. Friday and Saturday nights they're open till 3am. They have cream soda. Everyting else is just details. The first day I found Dog Town Hots I had four hot dogs. Big hot dogs, dogs with super yummy toppings served in real bread buns. I had mac salad, loaded fries and two sodas. OH, just thinking about all that is making me hungry! I need some, now!!

Dog Town's menu of hots has a canine theme. The Bernese Mountain Dog has sauteed mushrooms (the best I've ever had), swiss cheese, and dijon mustard. The Pit Bull has meat sauce, bbq sauce and sauteed onions and peppers. The Boston Terrier has beans, bacon-2 strips! and meat sauce. ONE MORE! The Rhodesian Ridgeback has coleslaw, sauteed onions and melted cheese. And this is only one tenth of the menu!! I've been four times, eaten two dogs each visit and I have yet to repeat a dog. I want to try them all and every time I order I have to make some tough decisions, and try to remember what I've eaten before. The meat sauce here is fantastic, and not once have I ever gotten a bone chip, which are the bane of my existance at other hots places and burger joints. The only thing I'd like to see on the menu that isn't is potato salad, I love good potato salad and I'd like to see what the talanted folks at Dog Town could do to it. Maybe I'll get my wish someday as a special.

When you go you'll stand and peruse the menu (don't miss the specials board, good soup lives here), order at the counter, pay and wait at a table inside or out. The friendly and skilled staff will bring you your meal and you'll begin to eat. At this point you'll forget that you're eating, basically, on the side of the road in a hots shack. The food tastes so good you'll want to call your friends and neighboors and share the news. Don't do that yet. Finish your meal and dispose of your own garbage. Now you can start making those phone calls. And when you go next time, invite me...I love this place! - Christina , posted 08/07/06
